This story is about a lad named John, who, with his family survives the horrors of war against Germany. John and his father join the Resistance team and they do a lot of daring stunts getting caught and managing to escape. John knows a little judo which aids him in fighting a few times. They also have a logo saying OSO which means 'Orange Shall Overcome.' John meets Rita a friendly nurse and she to plays an important role. This is more than a war time adventure. The characters have vitality, depth and great humanity. This book is great to read and will keep you on your feet for sure. It would be a great book for the ages 12 and up.
